The second deck rises to the east. 7 spans of the new bridge are already hoisted

This morning, in the construction site of the new bridge, the second span rose on the east side, between piles 15 and 16. Raised to about 40 meters high, the section measures 50 meters for a total weight of 520 tons, including the 4 crankcases side. There are therefore seven decks now visible on the Genoese skyline, for a total length of 350 meters. The new span, in fact, is added to the 6 already positioned and to the 13 high stacks out of the total of 19 foreseen by the project. At the same time as the deck, the lateral casing of the stack ashlar 6 was also raised on the west side.

In the meantime, the other works are continuing on site. To the west, construction of the piles of pile 2 begins, and the elevation of Shoulder A and pile 1 continues, the lowest one, which will reach 20 meters in height against the 50 of the others, and which will have to join the hill. The top end of the pile 9 will then be raised. In addition, the other side covers of spans 4 5, 6 7, and 7 8 will be mounted.

To the east, however, work begins on the elevation of pile 12 and Shoulder B and continues for pile 10, 16 and 17. The restoration of pile 13 also continues and it is expected to continue with the work for its elevation. Finally, work on the ground continues with the assembly of the spans that will be raised between piles 12 13, and 16 17, while the assembly on the ground of span 13 14 has been completed. Meanwhile, on the ramp connecting to the A7, construction of the micropiles of pile 1 and of the crowning beam of pile 1 and 3 begins, and the elevation of pile 2. Construction of the crowning beam of Shoulder A continues.
